It's all about handdyed yarns on this episode of Knitting Daily TV.
Host Eunny Jang begins this episode with a tutorial on modular knitting, a great way to use up small amounts of colorful yarn in your stash.
Guest Laura Bryant, owner of Prism Art Yarns, is back for another visit on Knitting Daily TV, this time to discuss various types of handdyed yarns. She shares her secrets from her new book Artful Color, Mindful Knitting.
Download this fun pattern for the Fruitopia Hat seen on this episode. A big, thick hand-painted yarn asserts itself more than a thin yarn does, shown here in this thick hat project. Even though the colors are intermingled, a very slight diagonal patterning occurs prior to decreasing. It is, however, so subtle as to not matter, and when the stitch counts change, the patterning disappears.
Eunny joins up with yarn expert Clara Parkes in the knitting lab for a yarn spotlight on handdyed print yarns and combinations. Shown here is Classic Elite's Liberty Print yarn.
Eunny wraps up this episode with a quick tip to reduce dyelot variances in your knitting.
