I just completed a similar hat, the two-toned hat from Ravelry. That patterned called for the same amount of yarn, but was

worked using two strands. I wondered if the Sunday-Best pattern may have omitted this or if it should be only one strand?

Can anyone answer my question? I have the yarn and would like to make this for my daughter.
