I think the show has potential with Vicki, needs a bit more concentration on technique. Personal opinion, lose Space to Space. The picture is grainy, the content is..sorry, Vicki, boring, lacking in any useful info. I love show 1213, the mitered scarf and the knitted on I-cord was some really good info. Thanks for that.

Loved this particular show because of the I-chord shawl - what a novel pattern.  I loved the show with Eunny but love the one with Vickie too.  I'm not crazy about the space-to-space segment and wish the tools section had a little more detail but overall think it's refreshing.

I love the show and Vickie. Space-to-space could disappear and I wouldn't miss it. It would be great if Tanis Gray could be more specific about the yarns and products, possibly giving the manufacturer/designer, how to find them.

I too used to watch Knitty Gritty and loved the show.  I also watched KnittingDaily with Eunny and loved her show.  Both shows were very informative and I learned a lot from both.  I think the new show has potential, I don't like the Space-to-space though, the quality of the video is terrible, I would rather see more actual knitting.  I also tried to find the last shawl pattern on the website and couldn't, it's not even linked to in the show notes on the website the I-cord shawl and the double mittered shawls each had download links.  I like both hosts, love Vickie and Eunny and will continue to watch and like others, fast forward through Space-to-space, sorry.

Oh! give up the sour grapes comments. Yes, Eunny was good on the show, but everyone moves on. Vickie bring a fresh take on knitting. Having knit forvever, I still find new inspiring ideas. If Space to Space is going to continue, that webcam must be upgraded. It can be done and I do enjoy seeing the designers we only know as names on patterns. This is a half hour show. It's meant to show techniques and how to do them in an abbreviated manner. If you are interested and need more instruction, take a class on-line or at your LYS. (For all the Eunny fans, I think she is on Craftsy). For the person who thinks Knitting Daily means knitting only....remember Kristin Omdahl.

I have to agree with the other comments.  I miss Eunny alot and always enjoy seeing any reruns with her.   Vickie is very personable, but the "space to space" is a waste of time and the time could be better used on the "how to" segments which are generally too short.  Please bring Eunny back!

Spent 20 minutes playing around with the site to get a pattern from show 1213 and failed.  I guess it was not meant to be.  Too bad.  It seemed like a cool pattern.

Loved Eunny - Vickie is great as well, but Space to Space is a waste! Maybe to program could be an hour............?

Have to add my 2-cents.  I LOVE Vickie Howell as a host.  I couldn't  stand watching the show until Vickie took over.  I'm sure Shay is a nice lady but she couldn't keep quiet long enough to let the instructors give their instructions.  I used to turn off the program cuz it drove me nuts.  Also, they tried to cram too much into a half hour making it difficult to pick up ANY kind of hints or learning from the show.  Now they concentrate on, like, one concept or item and I can actually learn something.  I have to agree though that the Space to Space is not a good use of time.  Thanks!

Sorry. I really enjoyed Vicki on Knitty Gritty, but Eunny was the best for Knitting Daily. I must say the feature space to space, just doesn't get it.  Much more was taught on the show when Eunny was hosting. Again, I do like Vicki, just not on this program. Also, where will I find the patterns for the shawls?

What happened to Eunny?  This season just doesn't do it!!!  You're filming like you are in the 60"s!

Where is the content in this new format?  I find NO value in the 'space to space' segment and 'tools  of the trade' has possibilities but not in its current format.  Also the show is called 'knitting daily' so why the crochet patterns?  I'm not interested in crochet.  Bring back patterns, skills, and techniques.  I have been a fan of the show- but not anymore.  I find myself fast-forwarding through the show.

I loved watching Knitting Daily TV when Eunny Jang was hosting.    I learned something valuable from each episode.  While Vicky Howell certainly has the knowledge, the show no longer contains much content.   Space-to-Space and Tools of the Trade are complete wastes of our time.   I am very disappointed with this new season!

Although  I think Vicky Howell is very personable as a host, you don;t really learn very much from her.  Example:  One o her shows her guest had a stuffed toy, and all she showed was how to put stuffing in the toy.  REALLY????  People are not that  unable to figure that out by themselves?  They didn't  even show how to make the toy.  Also, the segments on space to space isn't informative to learn anything.  All I see is that she talks to people to promote their products/ books.  I learned sooo much more from Eunny Jang"s segments.  Not only was she informative, she was a really good instructor and patiently showed how to do stitches and procedures.  We, as knitters and crocheters, want and need more from the show than we are getting now.

I agree the site is hard to navigate, but I did manage to find this. Thought I'd share.

I like Vickie as the host, but I think Space to Space is a waste of time. It's too much watching friends videochat, with such lo-def images that you can't show any of their creations. I'd suggest finding something else to fill that space.

How do I get the pattern for the shawl highlighted at the end of this episode?  Vicky said it would be available, but shown in a different color.  Some help on this subject would be helpful as I noticed I'm not the only one looking for it.  Thank You, Stephanie Barrow, mkymse68@verizon.net

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE watching Knitting Daily now that Vickie Howell is hosting!  I was so disappointed when Knitty Gritty went off the air. Vickie makes the show fun and interesting and I will definitely watch as long as she's hosting!

your site stinks....loved the shawl Vickie showed at the end of show 1213 but can't get it - such a shame.

HI,

As a newbie, I am very frustrated navigating your site.  I finally found episode 1212, the picture is right, but the date is 12 12 13. When I click on it I am transferred to 1213.  Vickie said we could go to this site for the patterns, I only want the patterns with the open work lace top and the dropped stitch top, so I don't want to buy the whole series. Seems like the deal is a trick to get my $30.

I have watched a few episodes and I am found still yearning. Yearning to learn more skills, techiniques and tips I can actually use in my today knitting. I have been knitting for 5 years now and recorded every knitting daily show and couldn't wait to come home after work to watch. I've tried to adjust to the new format and host, however its no longer interesting. Please would you show more reruns. I dont believe you got it right this time.

Hi Vickie I can't wait to see you on the new season. We are still on Season 11 here. I have all of your old shows on DVD I made them and downloaded the patterns. You were my first knitting guru. I look forward to your knowledge and sense of humor.

A HUGE hole since you left. The few quilting/sewing programs are nice, but they miss the mark.  Thank goodness you are back on TV.  now please be on NYC PBS stations.
