in answer to Lipcom:

you do two additional repeats on each half... three, five, seven...

to make the pattern work.

i have not gotten to the trim, so i don't know how that works yet...

hope that helps

I am making this shawl... and would love to know how far into the fourth skein i will get before starting the edging.  I am trying to use up as much of the yarn as possible?  I guess what I am really asking is, how much yarn does the edging take up.  It is a project for my sister and she is plus sized...

HELP!!! I am stymied. WHen the rudimentary instructions (as the commenter below noted) calls for do two repeats of chart pattern repeat on each side - well, then when I follow the pattern it doesn't work out with the center running stitch. I just cannot figure this out. But I love the visual of the shawl and really want to make it! Help.

I would love to make this shawl but do not understand the instructions and chart. Could you provide a bit more explanation?

I have used knitting charts before. I think my problem with this one is that the text is rudimentary and the chart is fairly complicated.

Could you make it the subject of  a future blog Kathleen? Would really appreciate some help with this pattern.
