Searching for help on the DECREASE chart; line 11

If I work according to the chart, the original 18 stitch decrease on row 11 is 9 stitches, but according to the chart there should be 8 stitches. Also...the last stitches on that row (outside the repeat section) works out to 6 stitches, but the chart shows 5 stitches.

I'm at a standstill until I get some advice. Lovely pattern-I'm anxious to complete

i also think lines 13-16 of the chart might need correction, if the18stitch repeat is symetrical. the 'ssk' marks in the 18 stitch repeat may need to move 1stitch to the left in these rows. am i right?

The lace pattern show a square with a circle in it but the chart does not identify what this stitch is supposed to be.  I cast on and the 3rd stitch in I do not know what to do.  I checked in corrections but there are none for 2014.
