In the stretchy Backroad Hats, a simple slip-stitch pattern breaks up potential pooling, while letting hand-dyed yarns take center stage. There are two options for shaping the crown: the men’s version features a strong decrease line three stitches wide, while the women’s version has a more subtle one-stitch line.

Is the women's supposed to be 18 1/4" and the men's 19 1/4"? They both CO the same number of stitches but the women's hat uses smaller needles.

This looks like a classic and fairly simple to pull off.  Can't wait to try it!
