Designer Alice O’reilly

Finished Size 22 1/4 (44 1/2)" circumference and 8 3/4" tall. Shown in size 22 1/4".

Yarn Brooklyn Tweed Shelter (100% targhee-columbia wool; 140 yd [128 m]/1 3/4 oz [50 g]): #18 button jar, 2 (4) skeins.

Needle Size 5 (3.75 mm): 24 (32)" circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Marker (m); tapestry needle.

Gauge 27 sts and 41 rows = 4" in Lattice patt.

The Fiddlesticks Cowl uses a twisted stitch found in traditional Austrian and Bavarian knits. Twisted stitches are essentially mini-cables, giving the fabric the textural interest of cabling without the cable needle.

This is truly a beautiful Cowl. Although I have never done the Stitch, I am hoping I can master it all.

The Yarn from Brooklyn Tweed brings out the stitch pattern all that much more appealing.

Thank you so much and now will be looking for the Interweave Knits Fall 2014 to find the pattern.

And thank you for sharing this with us..
