THIS SCARF IS A DECEPTIVELY SIMPLE PATTERN. The grid is elongated when working it horizontally versus vertically. For a completely different look, weave ribbon or other novelties through the grid.

Finished Size: 3½" wide and 54" long, not including fringe.

Yarn: Alpaca With a Twist Baby Twist (100% baby alpaca; 110 yd [100 m]/13⁄4 oz [50 g] ): #1004 smokey blue, 2 balls.

Hook Size: G/7 (4.5 mm). Adjust hook size as necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Gauge: 5 grids = 4" wide; 5 rows = 1" in grid network.

Skill Level: Easy

I believe there are some errors in this pattern. Rather than "Row 3: Ch6 (counts as dc, ch3), sk first st, ch 3, dc in next sc, *ch3, sk3 ch, dc in next sc; rep from * to end, turn." It should read "Row 3: Ch 6 (counts as dc, ch3), sk 3 ch, dc in next sc, *ch3, sk3 ch, dc in next sc; rep from * to end, turn." Also, the instructions ask for Rows 2 and 3 to be repeated two more times -- 7 rows total, but the outcome is half of what is shown ini the picture. Instead (to match the picture), it should be "rep Rows 2 and 3 five more times -- 13 rows total". Lastly the picture does not have the "final Row 2 before fastening off." Despite these errors, it is a very easy scarf and looks great!

This is CROCHETED.  Please tag all such patterns, so those of us who are knitters do not waste time on them.

Knittingnana is a knitting idiot.   Can't tell the difference between a crochet and a knit pattern just by reading?  This page has the word "crochet" or "crocheted" all over it.  How careless and lazy are you?!  Wonder how much "time" you "wasted" on this.
