This casual bag was inspired by my love of mystery novels. The embroidery on the flap—Locus Delicti—is Latin for “scene of the crime.” The embroidery inside the flap (“Move along, nothing to see here”) covers the back of my stitching and reinforces the mystery theme.

Oh I love this, I think I'll make a few in different colors for the college students in my life!

Everything worked fine for me, it even brought me back to this page after ; my only disappointment.  It's not a knitted pattern.  Yes, it could have been real simple to make it so; so why didn't they.  I don't oft hand recall the percentage of shrinkage (yes, I know it's relative).  But, the relative percentage of shrinkage in the column, and row directions (or stitch & row) to get full felting.  Because I wouldn't need one of my nice sweaters, I could just knit a, not sweater, panel.  How can you have a not knitting pattern for free on an obvous knitting magazine.  Is the magazine like this... (sorry rhetorical question, I've bought the magazine).  Sorry for the rant; its so frustrating.  DIY took away the bad I wanted cause the show was canceled.  They have all the pages, and all the links; but, no pattern. (sigh) idiots
