Knitwear designer Nancy Bush joins Eunny to demonstrate an Estonian lace shawl, from her book Knitted Lace of Estonia. Sponsored by Interweave
I have Nancy Bush's book, Knitted Lace of Estonia, and look forward to knitting this pattern also. I really appreciate the fact that I can print the chart out - much easier than try to use the one in the book or photocopying it.
Her charts are easy to follow and Nupps are not difficult as long as you keep them loose. These patterns are definately worth the work.
When getting a pattern that only shows a chart I simply write out each row so that it is easier to read. No problem with following a chart then and mixing rows up.
I had hopes when opening the pattern and seeing written instructions. Please. please, please add the written option for your lace patterns. Even if they can only be downloaded online instead of in every issue of the magazine. Please help those of us who can't/don't or just don't read charts very well so we can do lace patterns too.
I like this shawl, elegant ~
