Finished Size 8½" foot circumference with rib relaxed and 8½" long from tip of toe to back of heel. To fit an adult large, with adjustable foot length. See Notes.
Yarn Wooly West Footpath (85% wool, 15% nylon; 175 yd [160 m]/60 g): yarrow, 2 skeins.
Needles Size 1 (2.5 mm): set of 5 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
• Marker (m);
• cable needle;
• tapestry needle
Gauge 16 sts and 24 rnds = 2" in St st; 20 sts and 21 rnds = 2" in k2, p3 rib; 21 sts and 23 rnds = 2” in honeycomb patt.

CORRECTION: On page 2, after achieving 89 sts. Next rnd: P2, M1P, *k5, M1, p5, M1P; rep from * to last 8 sts, k5, M1, p2, M1P, p1--108 sts.

Agreed - me too.  It's disconcerting to download a pattern with a mistake in it.  I don't print a pattern till I want to knit it and by then I've probably forgotten that there's an error.  Pity - they're pretty socks.

I did this similar but with size 8 circular needles  because I couldn't find in our store here size 1 set of the 5 dpns and  much easier
