Background on the video, in Eunny's words:
"Last winter, we took you behind the scenes of a Knits photo shoot – there’s a lot of time and care in the images you end up seeing in the magazine. The cover gets some extra-special attention: shooting a cover can best be described as a kind of hopeful alchemy, combining newsstand guidelines and standards with the delicate art of capturing a compelling image. In the end, we want an image that catches the eye and has wide appeal, but also represents what you’ll find between the covers.
For the Summer 2009 issue of Interweave Knits, our final cover choice was Linda’s Wrap Vest by designer Mari Lynn Patrick. We loved the flattering, drapey versatility of the garment as well as its intriguing construction and use of simple ribbed fabrics. Above all, we loved how truly seasonal, how summery, the final image feels—we shot it during the golden hour of a late February afternoon, and the final look is casual, breezy, and bathed in sunlight. An enticing vision for warm weather knitting.
