Icarus Shawl from Interweave

I made this shawl (my 2nd ever), for two special weddings this June.  I started it in April 09 and finished it with two days to spare, just enough time to block it into shape.  I loved making this cover shawl from The Best of Interweave Knits book.  It took some time to make but considering I didn't use a life line I can't complain.  I love the color of the variegated alpaca lace weight yarn, it matched my other sweater perfectly.

This pattern can be found in The Best of Interweave Knits: Our Favorite Designs from the First Ten Years.  There are great projects in this book.  You can see some of them on ravelry.

this is beautiful! I love the best of interweave book and have thought about making this one. Gotta finish the one on my needles first. I'm 1/2 way on the Fiddlesticks "Peacock Feathers" shawl

your shawl looks great and time I made one for my daughters wedding in November but hers will be in queensland and it will be hopt so I will see.
