I was so proud of finishing the Soap Bubble Wrap from an issue of Interweave Knits, as it was going to be hard from the beginning. A dear friend of mine asked me to knit it with a few alterations.
Firstly, I knit from the bottom to the waist in the largest size, then above the waist for the bodice, in the 2nd largest size. The sleeves were done in the 1st size. We live an ocean away (nsw Australia to Tasmania), so I first knitted the right front and sent it down for a fitting.
Nope, try again, the next time it was perfect. I'm so proud that all the lace patterns matched up, as I was sending each piece down to Tasmania to be fitted. My friend was also going to block it and sew it up.
As you can see from the photo, it fits perfect, and Jane is so happy too. My biggest achievement so far in my 30+ years of knitting.
