This is my first knit afghan. I started it about 2 years ago. It wasn't hard, but it took so long because I had so many other projects I was working on. I still have to weave in the ends of the yarn, but other than that it is finished.
I'm glad you like it. Actually all I did was knit back and forth so, this was a very easy afghan. Great as a beginner project because the yarn did all the work. I plan on doing more difficult things but I started with something easy.
Congrats! I'm just learning to knit (at 62!), and I'm having great difficultly with completing even a project that is just straight forward knit stitch. Maybe I'll live long enough to create an afghan as lovely as yours. Thank you for sharing the picture it has given me the incentive to keep knitting!
Thanks. I actually bought the yarn at a yard sale. I got a very large trash bag full of yarn for only $5.00. The yarn was in perfect condition and there was a lot of it! Just one skein of the yarn I used in this afghan costs $6.00 at the store, but a paid much less. I'm very happy with the results. At first I wasn't sure if I should add the light blue, but I now know it was a good choice to add it. I think it really makes the colors pop! Thanks again.
Very nice! Wonderful color scheme! Although I have been knitting since I was 20, I don't think I have ever knitted an afghan. I have crocheted a few, but not knitted. Thank you for the feedback on my "crazy entrelac socks."
Best wishes,
Rebecca A.
