I love scarves that are knit horizontally, so I purchased and knitted this scarf.  I used a different yarn on size 11 needles, though, because 87 inches is quite a bit too long for me!  It turned out well, but I found it very difficult to block.  The outer curves (the "top" and "bottom" curves produced by a typical Feather & Fan pattern) kept wanting to roll inward.  I thought at first that I was pulling on the ends of the scarf too hard while blocking, but no matter how much I eased up, it required a LOT of pins to try to flatten it out. In the end, I blocked it again and pressed it--this helped but didn't completely fix it. Still beautiful, though, and soft, because I did use a mostly alpaca yarn.
