Laura Irwin, author of Boutique Knits (Interweave, Winter 2008), is known for embellishing knitwear with metal, beads, leather, and other hardware. In Knitting Daily TV Episode 109 she demonstrates adding the metal chain and fabric covered buttons to her "Formal Boot Bag," a pattern that first appeared on the cover of Bag Style by Pam Allen and Ann Budd (Interweave 2007), and is now available for free download to Knitting Daily TV viewers.
