This was my first knitted project. I started on this when I found out I was pregnant with my second child. I wanted to knit this for 2 reasons I wanted to bring my baby homein something I created and it also helped me to quit smoking. This little one is now 17 months old so we are working on Elizabeth Zimmerman's Baby suprise Jacket!

What a beautiful baby blanket!  I am making the Elizabeth Zimmerman Baby Surpise Jacket for a friend.  I am making the small size.  I am almost done with it.  I am doing the sleeves, then I have to pick up stitches and do the front and neck border.  It is a fun baby jacekt to make.

Oh sorry she did not "really" sleep this way. This was taken as one of her hospital photos.

she is now a whopping 21 pounds and 19 months old.

Good for you! It's wonderful that you stopped smoking, and your daughter is lovely. Congratulations on both, and on the beautiful blanket. Please remember, though, to put babies on their backs to sleep if they're under 12 months old. She looks like she loves the blanket! Knitting and babies go so great together.
