And THANK YOU for the pattern!

You are welcome. I think this pattern is adjustable for any kind of yarn if you adapt the needle size. This pattern is really simple: cast on 100-120 sts deppending on the needle size, the yarn you use and the finished blanket size you wish for. WS row purl. Now this in the patter for the whole blanket: RS, make 1 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, 1 purl till the end of the row. On the WS row: make one you knit the st that you k on the RS, and you purl the st that you purled on RS. You follow this patter until you reach the size you want, then cast off.
I really hope you understood me, english is not my native language.
Can you share a basic pattern for this? Also, do you think it would work well with a chunky wool yarn? I love the simplicity of the design and can tell that the size, stripe width, and number of colors can be easily adjusted. I'm a beginner and always have my eye open for something a little different than a "plain old blanket." Thanks for sharing your photo.
