An intermediate child's sweater that uses all over colorwork to create a motif.

Finished Size 27 (31, 35½)" chest circumference. Sweater shown measures 31", modeled on a five-year-old.
Yarn Nashua Handknits Julia (50% wool, 25% kid mohair, 25% alpaca; 93 yd [85 m]/50 g): #NHJ2250 French pumpkin (A), 1 ball all sizes; #NHJ1220 gold (B), 1 (1, 2) ball(s); #NHJ1590 bright teal (C), 1 (1, 2) ball(s); #NHJ5185 spring green (D), 3 (4, 5) balls; #NHJ2230 rock henna (E), 3 (4, 5) balls. (Note: French pumpkin and gold have been discontinued; distributor suggests #NHJ0121 persimmon and #NHJ1054 sunflower as substitutes.) Yarn distributed by Westminster Fibers.
Needles Sizes 6 (4 mm) and 7 (4.5 mm): straight. Sizes 5 (3.75 mm) and 6 (4 mm): double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
