Women's twisted stitch cap with cables. This hat is a great sampler project for practicing twisted stitch knitting.

Designer Meg Swansen
Finished Size 20½" head circumference. To fit a child or small adult.
Yarn 1 skein Québécoise wool (100% wool; 210 yd [192 m]/100g): #92 natural, or about 2 ounces of wool.
Needles A pair of 24" circular needles; or a 16" cir and a set of double-pointed needles (dpn) of a size to yield gauge; #4 (3.5 mm) used in pattern.
Gauge 23 sts to 4" blocked, over pattern.

When I first got my magazine I wanted to make this hat, problem is It is hard for me to understand the twisted stitch pattern, I really like this hat the details etc, but I really need help with aquiring the pattern stitches Will someone please help me with understanding the twisted stitches step by step so I can better understand it is there a video that can help me if so please let me know where can I find it.

The day I got the issue I had to knit this cap. I wish I had not started decreasing sooner than the pattern called for so the top of mine looked like this one.
