A classic pair of mittens offered in three sizes, from children’s to adults’. The twisted-stitch cable pattern creates an unusual tulip motif.

Finished Size 7 (7¼ , 7¾ )" hand circumference, to fit child’s large (woman’s medium, woman’s large). Mittens shown in middle size.
Yarn Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Worsted (100% superwash wool; 225 yd [206 m]/114 g): #54ns firefly (gold), 1 skein for all sizes.
Needles Size 3 (3.25 mm): set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); cable needle (cn); waste yarn holders.
Gauge 25½ sts and 34 rnds = 4" in St st; 24 (24, 26) back-of-hand sts in patt from charts with rev St sts measure about 3½ (3½ , 3¾ )" wide.
