My daughter went to the Yarn Garden in Portland, bought some yarn for a Christmas Stocking and got a free pattern.  It's taken me almost a year to get it on my needles but here I am busily knitting.

Feels good to see christmas in august.

I made this stocking in 1977 rfrom  a McCalls Needlework book.

I made it with size 10 needles instead of size 5 needles and it became a huge stocking to the delight of my son who liked stocking full of gifts from Santa.

He said mom knit one long enough to to go from upstairs fireplace to downstairs fireplace. He wanted Sat ato keep on filling his stocking.

The design also had a Reindeer and I made up one more with a Snowman fro my aughter.

I also stiched their names Naresh and Neela at the top.
