A child's knitted cardigan features lace, one piece construction, and raglan shaping. Sized for older children.

Finished Size 23¼ (26, 28, 31, 33¼)" chest circumference, buttoned. Garment intended to be worn with 2–3" positive ease. Cardigan shown measures 26", modeled on an eight-year-old.
Yarn Tahki Cotton Classic Lite (100% mercerized cotton; 146 yd [133 m]/50 g): #4932 amethyst, 5 (6, 7, 7, 8) skeins.
Needles Sizes 4 (3.5 mm), 5 (3.75 mm), and 6 (4 mm): 32" circular (cir). Sleeves—sizes 4 (3.5 mm) and 5 (3.75 mm): set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); stitch holders; tapestry needle; 6 (6, 7, 7, 8) buttons, ½" diameter.
Gauge 24 sts and 30 rows = 4" in St st on middle-size needle; 34 sts and 36 rows = 4" in woven cable st on largest needle; 26 sts and 34 rows = 4" in twisted rib on smallest needle, blocked and slightly stretched.
