Brioche Rib Cardigan

A cardigan pattern in eight sizes, designed for children and adults. A two-color brioche rib is lively when the contrast yarn is a self-striping yarn. Bottom-up raglan construction is highlighted with decorative brioche decreases.

Finished Size 25 (27¼, 28½, 30¼, 38¼, 42¼, 46¼, 52)" chest circumference, zipped. Jackets shown measure 25" and 38¼". Sizes 25–30¼" are intended for children and sizes 38¼–52" for adults. Review schematic for individual measurements
Yarn Universal Yarn Deluxe Worsted (100% wool; 220 yd [201 m]/100 g): Boy’s: #71602 blue (MC), 2 skeins (all sizes). Man’s: #12267 dolphin (gray; MC), 4 (5, 5, 6) skeins. Wisdom Yarns Poems (100% wool; 109 yd [100 m]/50 g): Boy’s: #473 blue/purple/ orange (CC), 3 (3, 3, 4) skeins. Man’s: #579 magenta/teal/yellow (CC), 6 (7, 8, 10) skeins. Yarns distributed by Universal Yarn.
Needles Sizes 5 (3.75 mm) and 7 (4.5 mm): 24" circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); removable markers; stitch holders; tapestry needle; size 7 (4.5 mm) crochet hook; 12 (14, 14, 16, 22, 22, 24, 24)" separating zipper; sewing needle and matching thread.
Gauge 14 sts and 20 rows = 4" in two-color brioche rib on smaller needle, slightly stretched and blocked.
