Slipper socks with ankle buttonbands are worked in a welting pattern from the top down. Wool lining is needle felted to the insides of the slippers in finishing.

Finished Size 9¼ (10¾)" foot circumference, 10½ (12)" leg circumference, and 9 (10¾)" long from heel to toe. Foot length is adjustable.
Yarn Halcyon Botanica (100% wool; 160 yd [146 m]/113 g): 2 skeins; shown in #32 blue (#47 olive).
Needles Size 7 (4.5 mm): 16" circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); tapestry needle; spare dpn in same size (or smaller) as main needles; roving or fleece for lining (Halcyon Marvelous Merino shown here); needlefelting needle and needlefelting sponge/foam for holding behind work; six 5/8" buttons.
Gauge 18 sts and 35 rows = 4" in welting patt, unstretched; 19 sts and 26 rows = 4" in St st.

Correction: Foot Rnd 1: Work welting pattern in rounds over 21 (24) sts, pm, K 3 (2), work double moss st over 16 (20) sts, k2.
