A large houndstooth pattern in a fun yarn makes a big statement in this classic jacket. Knit in one piece to the arms, this coat has a simple silhouette that receives an updated look from the oversized colorwork pattern.

Finished Size 30 (36, 42, 48, 55)" bust circumference. Cardigan shown measures 36", modeled with a couple inches positive ease.
Yarn Filatura di Crosa Flying (37% alpaca, 37% wool, 25% acrylic, 1% polyamide; 82 yd [75 m]/50 g): #3 tan (MC), 6 (6, 7, 7, 8) skeins; #6 gray (CC), 5 (5, 6, 6, 7) skeins. Yarn distributed by Tahki Stacy Charles.
Needles Size 13 (8 mm): 16" and 32" circulars (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Marker (m); stitch holder; tapestry needle.
Gauge 10½ sts and 16 rows = 4" in patt.

Correction: Needle size 13 (9mm)

Help, I'm having difficulty knitting straight on the circular needles. It's the two colors. How do I work the houndstooth chart and knitt stright. Flipping the work isn't working out and I can't figure it out.
