Finished Size 16” wide at top, 19 ½” wide at bottom, 5 ½” deep at base and 17” tall (excluding strap), after felting.
Yarn Manos del Uruguay (100% wool; 138 yd [126 m]/100 g): #45 dark blue (MC), 8 skeins; #66 red (A), 1 skein; #69 orange (B), 1 skein; #68 acid green (C), 1 skein; #04 sky blue (D), 1 skein; #Q medium blue (E), 1 skein. Yarn distributed by Design Source.
Needles Size 13 (9 mm): 32” circular (cir).  Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Tapestry neede; embroidery eedle; embroidery floss to match MC; long quilting pins; disposable razor; 16” straight hex-open frame for top opening (available online from Ghee’s at
www.ghees.com); 2 sets of 4 silver handbag feet (bag shown uses 6 feet, also available from Ghee’s); two 1 ½” silver carved octagon western buckles for straps (available from Oregon Leather Company; (503) 228-4105; six ¾” silver squash blossom buttons (JHB International #90627, www.buttons.com); 1/8” solid masonite board cut to 4 ½” X 18” to stiffen bottom of bag; optional fabric to cover masonite board.
