Yarn Berroco Blackstone Tweed (65% wool, 25% mohair, 10% angora; 130 yd [119 m]/50 g):
• #2614 cranberry bog, 5 skeins
Gauge 14 sts and 21 rows = 4" in St st with 2 strands of yarn held tog on larger needles; 18 sts and 30 rows = 4" in seed st with 1 strand of yarn on smaller needles
Tools
• Size 9 (5.5 mm) needles
• Size 6 (4 mm) needles
• Yarn needle
• 2¼" buckle
• Pair of purse handles, 7" to 8" wide
• Needlepoint plastic canvas (about four 10½" × 13½" sheets)
• Lining fabric (optional, ½ yard)
• Sewing needle and matching thread (optional)
