Gored Entrelac Skirt

This A-line skirt is knit in the round in entrelac and gets its interesting texture using alternating twisted knit and purl stitches.

Finished Size: 23 (26, 283/4, 311/2, 341/2, 371/2)" waist circumference; 541/4 (591/4, 641/4, 691/4, 741/2, 791/2)" circumference at gore (begins at hip); and 231/2 (25, 27, 26, 28, 30)" long. Skirt shown measures 26" waist.
Yarn: Green Mountain Spinnery Cotton Comfort (20% organic cotton, 80% wool; 180 yd [ m]/ 2 oz): weathered green, 8 (10, 11, 11, 13, 14) skeins.
Needles: Waist casing—size 5 (3.75 mm): 24" circular (cir). Skirt—size 4 (3.5 mm): 36" or longer cir. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Waste yarn; markers (m); 1" non-roll elastic approximately 2" longer than waist measurement; tapestry needle.
Gauge: 25 sts and 34 rows = 4" in St st on larger needles; 26 sts and 36 rows = 4" in woven patt st.
