Knit this classic top-down cardigan for a little one in your life. Partridge-shaped motifs aroudn the bottom band are worked with stranded colorwork.

Finished Size Size 27 (30, 32¾ )" chest circumference, to fit ages 3–4 (5–6, 8–9) years. Cardigan shown measures 27".
Yarn Spud & Chloë Sweater (55% superwash wool, 45% organic cotton; 160 yd [146 m]/100 g): #7506 toast (MC), 3 (4, 5) skeins; #7516 grape jelly (CC), 2 skeins. Yarn distributed by Blue Sky Alpacas.
Needles Size 6 (4 mm): 24" and 40" circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Size 8 (5 mm): 24" cir and set of dpn. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge
Notions Markers (m); stitch holders; waste yarn for provisional CO; tapestry needle; four ¾" buttons.
Gauge 17 sts and 23 rows = 4" in St st on larger needle; 17 sts and 18 rows = 4" in charted patt on larger needle.
