Vintage-Inspired Jacket - Deborah Newton

A longtime admirer of tailored garments, the designer is always on the lookout for ways to adapt a dressmaker classic to the knitted form. The idea for this jacket-including lapels, pocket flaps, and crisp edges-came from a postcard sent from a friend visiting London. A subtly variegated yarn lends the feel of the tweedy woven fabric. To add a little fun, she incorporates a number of interesting edgings.
