This is absolutely a five star cowl!  I just finished it and it has all the positive attributes a good cowl should have.  It sits flat on the shoulders rather than bunching up as some cowls do.  The decreases taper the cowl so the neck fits the neck, again it doesn't bunch up.  I made it from Manos Silk Blend so it's nice and soft against the skin.  The pattern looks complicated but it's really not.  I plan to make more of them.
