Crochet Corner:
Kristin and Eunny join up on Knitting Daily TV episode 809's Crochet Corner segment to show off some fun purses and satchels made out of nylon, a thin material perfect for crocheting (and knitting!) purses. Kristin demonstrates a fun crocheted chain handle that can be added to any bag that is stable enough to withstand great use and adds a unique finishing touch to any carry-all.

Download the free patterns for the knitted Autumn bag and the crocheted Cosmopolitan bag seen in this episode.

The thread used in this segment is from Omega, which can be purchased online at the Creative Yarn Source.

Would you do a show on tghe different types of chrochet threads.  I'm starfting to do chrochet and what is the different between No. 2 and a no 10 thread?  When do you used a steel hook vs an alumine?  I'm enjoying your show and the lessons in the yarns.  I'm still confused about worst wt and dk wt.  Isn't all wool worst wt.?   PH

Love the design of the knitted bag.  The color I would choose is 68 var blue.  That was a hard one because there are many wonderful colors to choose from.

What gorgeous bags!  Can't wait to try one!  I think red would be perfect.  Keep up your great work gals.  I love your show!

Bags are so useful (not that I REALLY need any motivation to find a new project!) but would love to try making one out of the nylon.  I'm always looking to expand my skills and try new materials. Royal Blue or Dark Purple would be lovely!

Both bags are great! I can see me making both, but for starters, I'd have to go woth the wine, love it and I think bronze would also be great for the other. Thanks for the great patterns.

So much yarn and way too many choices.....what's an older woman like me to do. I sure want to make one of those bags....(one on the right) but not daring enough for the red....but then my secret sister at church loves red, and she'd love the bag.... If only for me, make it Sandstone or a deep brown or deep gray would go with most of my clothes. I need to be a winner. Life has been pretty tough lately. Thanks

Very cool bag.  I would choose #15 purple.  Thank you for sharing the pattern and offering to give away the yarn for it.

the Omega thread is so versatile.  I have used it for macrame jewelry, scrub sponges, and decorative hangings.  Unfortunately all these colors are not available  in retail stores- computer colors are not exact if you are trying to match them.

I would choose the bronze. (I would like to try working with the thread.)
