OK, so I LOVE this sweater, but I have a real problem. With the cables, there are 8 stitch repeats that are marked out in red that you have to repeat for the pattern. The problem is, the repeat splits the cables - how do you DO that? If you look at the cable patterning, it just cuts the cable between stitches 2 and three.

Can anyone tell me how to work this?

Thanks!

I ordered one-year subscription for magazine beacuse of this pattern.

Love it!

But I wouldn't make collar.

I love this, but think it looks to "heavy" to be just a vest.   As others have mentioned 3/4 sleeves would be a nice touch.

I give this one a 4.75 - I agree, I would like 3/4 length sleeves. Maybe we should do this one as a group, and have Kathleen teach us how to add 3/4 sleeves! I think it wouldn't take much to add the length to the body, I have lengthened sweaters before just by adding more rows of stitching between the waist and the first area where the shaping began. I am pretty straight up and down, so it was easy, someone with more curves than me might have to do a bit of adjusting, but I bet you could blog for help! I really, really like this sweater, and I have the yarn already to do it! Whoop!

Pattern looks great - agree that sleeves would be a good addition plus a few inches in length

I love this, but I think I'd want sleeves too, maybe elbow length.

Stunning although it would look wonderful with sleeves
