SUMMER BLOOMS SHAWL

A gossamer lace shawlette is embellished with tiny beads. The crescent shape is formed with short-rows; beads are added while knitting.

Finished Size 64"

wide and 19" deep.

Yarn The Alpaca Yarn Company Suri Elegance (100% suri alpaca; 875 yd [800 m]/3½ oz [100 g]): #2763 rosebud, 1 skein.

Needles Sizes 7 (4.5 mm) and 10 (6 mm): 32" circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers (m; optional); tapestry needle; 276 size 10˚ (2 mm) silver-lined pink seed beads; size 12 (0.6 mm) steel crochet hook; blocking pins.

Gauge 15 sts and 26 rows = 4" in St st on smaller needle, after blocking.

Completed this shawl as a request from my mother-in-law.  First time knitting with beads.  Wasn't terribly difficult, just took time.  Giving it to her for the holidays.  Hope she loves it!

I just purchased an ebook subscription to this magazine.  I love this design!  However, I can't knit from a chart in the ebook.  It would be great to have a place where those of us who subscribe e-fashion could print a copy of the chart only.

This is beautiful...I have sooo0 many projects I have to complete by Christmas for others...  this is something I want to make for myself.....  maybe I can start it the day AFTER Christmas.
