This striking cap was inspired by a Tudor cap from Wollaton Hall in Nottingham, England, whose unusual brim caught the designer's attention.

Manos del Uruguay Wool Clasica, 100% wool yarn, worsted weight, 138 yards (126.2 m)/100 gram (3.5 oz) hank, Option 1: 2 hanks of #60 French Blue (A); Option 2: 2 hanks of #66 Poppy (B) and a small amount of #60 French Blue (A)
Needles, set of 4 double pointed and circular 24 inches (60.0 cm), size 10½ (6.5 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
Waste yarn for provisional cast-on
Tapestry needle
Finished size: 25 inches (63.5 cm) brim circumference
Gauge: 10 sts and 14 rows = 4 inches (10.2 cm) in St st, before fulling
