I am extremely busy with the closing of MSN groups, and my disatisfaction with Yahoo groups and several other services. I have a total of 7 groups that I've been working on to save and move content to new services, or try to get as much of the content migrated as possible, with bad results in most cases.
I have been crocheting and knitting since 1970 and have a huge stash of pattterns, books, magazines, yarn, thread, hooks and needles. Like most crocheters and knitters, if I have only made a pattern once, I can not remember exactly which book or magazine the pattern may be in, and certainly do not have time to go searching through them for free to track down patterns for people, sorry.
One service I do provide is creating huge lists in many, many categories of FREE patterns available on the internet, and those will be available on my new group. I currently am trying out several services for my new groups, and have only 3 1/2 weeks until MSN closes all groups down, so I have to work hard in that time.
Since there is a link to my group here, if you ever took the time to visit that group, you should have applied for membership, waited for approval, and then posted a message to me on the boards there. Frankly I find it appalling that Knitting Daily offers an option to email members, which results in those members getting our email adresses if we reply to them. There is a BIG security isssue in that. They need to change it so that people can leave messages for us on the website, and send us alerts by email, but not allow members to email us directly. If I could remove that option, i surely would.
