Not to Knitting daily, but to posting. Just had a back operation so got a lot of knitting done, but couldn't use the computer. Anyway, saw your Magic Loop post and had to write. I knitted my first pair of "wearable" socks with this method and it's the only way I will ever do it again. I've done 4 pairs of socks, a pair of leg warmers and 6 washcloths with this method. If it calls for a pair of anything, this is the way to do it. In the past, I have knitted Christmas Stockings with the name knitted in the top panel and a Santa Claus face on the body. Wish I'd known about this technique then! I love knitting daily and wish we could get it on TV in Rome, Georgia.

magical magic loop

This is a question for Kathleen Cubley. I like to knit super easy sweaters round and round on a circular needle but when I get to the sleeves I have to do them on 4 needles. Wouldn't the Magical Magic Loop method work? Starting at the cuff and adding stitches in one place all the way to the top?

Kathleen - I'd like to request a topic for a follow-up post on the Magic Loop method. I love (or would love) using the ML for my circular projects for the speed and convenience it offers, but I've found that I get MASSIVE ladders when I use the ML method -- much bigger than the ladders I get when I use dpns. I hate using dpns since I know I could knit quicker and with less poky-ness with the ML method, but those ladders just drive me crazy. Anyway, if you would consider a post on how to get the tension right when changing sides on the ML, I'd really love to hear your thoughts as I have been unable to find this information anywhere. I get the impression that I'm the only knitter in the world who has this problem!

I tried to add this comment to the main blog post, but I kept getting an error screen when I hit submit -- sorry if this isn't the right thread for this comment!

I've seen Eunny knit in videos and her speed seems super-human. I printed out the article and sat down to try it, but the drawings that accompany the piece are so faint that my eyes can't make out the details. Looking online isn't much better. Is there a way to enhance the contrast in theses figures so that they're easier to read?

Thanks,
