Have been a self taught knitter for over 40 years, since I am pretty bad at sewing pieces together, I favour top down, or bottom up, once I conquered this style I now make sweaters etc. to which I ad all sorts of variants, cables, differen combo of stitches, this make the finished work very personal, and I enjoy creating the stitches in the patterns, not unlike a very beautfiul piece of music.... it flows
I am a retired chef, so have many loves in my life, animals ( presently a cat with major attitude and finicky like you would not believe) love cooking, reading sing in a male chorus, needlepoint, and off course knitting, cannot imagine life without all these joys.
