Have been knitting seriously since HS, learned from books and my mom. Co-owned a knitting shop in Nashville, TN for 14 years, from 1994-2008. Miss it very much! I'm bigtime into papercrafting (see www.clubscrapcommunity.com) and knit what I want. I'm a big fan of Horst Schulz, Prudence Mapstone and any kind of pieced/domino/freeform knitting. I still knit socks on DPNs, but plan on learning to do two socks at once. And I think Ravelry is the best thing to happen to knitting since sticks and string.
