My Bio

I love to knit and crochet.  This Christmas (2009) I'm giving a hand-made gift to each of my children and their spouses except 1!  I just ran out of time.  I like to make my own patterns - I usually make them up as I go and the pieces develop.  One of these days I hope to start writing the patterns down.

I teach at the University of Minnesota, College of Design, Interior Design.  The students are smarter, more talented, and more fun each year that I teach.  I'm blessed to have them in my life.

I live in Minnesota where knitting in the winter is as necessary to stay warm as it is for a creative outlet.

  • What's on my needles?

I'm moving from winter knitting to spring!  I've got a cute, multi-colored vest for my grandson almost completed and have already started another hooded vest for my girlfriend's daughter.  It has a matching pattern for All American Dolls so I might make that also, if I have enough yarn.  I still have beads left from the Young Girl's Beaded Vest I crocheted (and have yet to write the pattern down!).  I am going to add beads to the vest for my friend's daughter.  The knitting has hearts and in the center of each heart I will place a bead.

    More photos to come!
