cazknits: I read through the posts, and I didn't see this question, but I may have missed it. If so, sorry if it's been asked and answered ... When you divide for the body, it appears that the fronts stop on Row 71 (according to the charts) but...

CateM: I am thinking the best look would be achieved by doing MI1 before the divider stitches and M1L after the divider stitches. At this point I am not even sure if that is what I have drawn. I spent hours knitting swatches but hope someone can validate...

alpacadero: I love this pattern and bought the magazine when it came out because I really want to do this project. But, I'm an alpaca fanatic so I'm trying to figure out a good yarn substitute in alpaca. I'm considering using Cascade Eco Alpaca...

thanks. simple explaination to start and if you need more details let me know. when you divide for the sleeves and put your sleeve stitches on a thread, cast on 8 or 10 additional stitches between the divider stitches. so you will have K1 P1 (CO8 or 10...

MichelleR: Willyknit: The 1st stitch of every RS is a sl 1 and the last stitch on the RS is a knit and the 1st stitch on the WS is a Sl 1 and the last stitch is a purl -- just like the written instructions for rows 1 and 2. The larger directions say to...

There are 10 stitch markers making up 5 pairs: 4 rm and 1 cbm. In between each pair of markers are 4 divider stitches - these stitches remain constant and do not increase and they do not appear on the charts. The stitches in between the pairs (2 markers...

I used a knitted cast on. Worked well. Backward loop would probably also work. All of the edges are going to be "covered" with the edging so I thought that any neat cast on would do.

The gusset is done and I am pleased with the results. The designer's join for the sleeve underarm is very nice - but no wiggle room at all. When I saw the size of the opening, I decided on a gusset. Yes, the knitted fabric is very stretchy and I think...
