I was taught how to knit by my, then, 12-yr-old niece, who is now a beautiful 20-yr-old married pregnant woman! I learned to crochet when I was about 5 by my grandmother, and I've been creating things ever since. I've taught my daughter, and she is now creating things of her own. My favorite craft is knitting, however - and this past winter I was finally brave enough to knit myself a sweater, which everyone keeps threatening to steal! I knit my daughter a sweater for her birthday and she loves it - I've made more slipper socks that I care to count! My son has even worn through his 1st pair - I had to make him a new pair. I love to knit - it soothes me, and calms my day.
