My mother and grandmother tried to teach to knit and crochet when I was a teenager, but I didn't like it. After my children were born and I had a lot of time at home I began to enjoy it and worked on several projects. But it wasn't until "the apple of my eye" (my grandson) was born that I really took to it. I prefer to crochet, but I'm getting much better with my knitting and you can knit so many beautiful things.
Needlecrafts keep busy and keep me thinking. I love to try intricate patterns, although they don't always work.
