I just decided on my yarn. I'm getting Berroco Linsey in Shell (below left) and Berroco Bonsai in Bamboo (below right). I think it'll be great, and perfect for my sister to wear in the Egyptian heat!
  • Re: The Official Bella Blouse Knit-Along Forum

You might want to try seaming using slip stitch crochet--it's easy and gives a very finished look, and it's easy to undo and do over if you make a mistake--much easier than mattress stitch, in my view. Diana
  • Re: The Official Bella Blouse Knit-Along Forum

Hi to all others like me who haven't done much lace knitting, I suggest using "life lines" as you knit the band and inserts. When you come to one of the rows between the leaves run a length of thinner, different-coloured yarn through all...

OK, I'll see if I can help you.....Knit into the stitch but don't drop it off the left needle, wrap thw yarn around the right needle in the same way you wrap if you were knitting any stitch (bring yarn under right ndl and over top of rt ndl),...

tongarii: This was my thought exactly. It will make a very nice 'faggot' lace when attached to the body of the sweater. Okeydoke, I took a closer look at the bottom band on the PDF, and yes the LooptyLoops ARE on the bottom edge of the Bottom...
  • Re: The Official Bella Blouse Knit-Along Forum

There are no errors in the sleeve pattern. As I understand it from the earliest posts in this thread, if you knit two sleeves from the one chart pattern as presented, the leaves will run in opposite directions on the garment. Some people have opted to...

  • Re: The Official Bella Blouse Knit-Along Forum

You know in thinking about it and looking at it, I was thinking that it might be a good idea to start slipping the first stitch on the Right Side rows, in order to make a good spot for picking up stitches later on. You know, either slip that first stitch...
  • Re: The Official Bella Blouse Knit-Along Forum

charsnotes: My questions were a couple. I started doing the band and I've done 16 repeats out of the 29 it calls for for the size 38. The length of my band already is 34" so I'm worried I'm doing something wrong. When I read ahead to...

Dear intoxyk8, I understand the slip purlwise start on the wrong side row. Its like Estonian lace knitting, but if I may ask, why are you ending the right side row with a P1 K1 if the pattern calls for K2? This is my first garment and some things on the...
