My Bio

For as long as she can remember, Fabienne Good has been interested in the Fine Arts.  In 1999 she left the family farm she grew up on, and followed her dreams through the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and all kinds of new skills, dreams and ideas.  She spent the next four years venturing the world as a self-sufficient artist.  In these four years of “freedom”, Fabienne found herself working and traveling in Australia, teaching art classes in New Zealand, the Caribbean, South America and Canada on a volunteer basis.  She planted over 250,000 trees, hitch-hiked across Canada, lived in a tent in the North West Territories amongst the black bears, worked as an assistant to various artists and took part in various art shows.

Fabienne Good has shown her work at various cafes, festivals, galleries and shops including the Drake Hotel, the Gladstone, the CONTACT photography festival, the Toronto Outdoor Art Show and quaint alternative venues around the world.  Currently she is enrolled in a Master of Fine Arts course in Switzerland.  Although her "art" concentrates on conceptual pieces, a large part of the process work comes out in the form of various handy-crafts such as knitting, crocheting and mainly, weaving.

For several years now, Fabienne has been completing "un-traditional" weaving projects on the loom.  She has started a line of "eco-wallets" which are made out of hand-woven, up-cycled plastic bags.

Her work can be seen at www.fabiennegood.com, ("eco-wallets" among other unique products can be found on her on-line shop at www.fabiennegood.etsy.com)
