I'm a 40-something living in north-east England. I am a knitter/crocheter. My favourite knitting projects are my Shetland Lace scarves and shawls, and occasionally some sweaters. When I'm hooking away, I like making hats, scarves, tunics and blankets. Once in a while, I will get my sewing machine out, but I'm pretty basic skills-wise. I also like reading, walking - I live on the coast and have one long pier, two beaches and two parks and lots of coastline (and a funfair !!!) within 5 minutes of my front door - and cooking. I don't have any pets of my own, but I am on the 'stopover' list for several of my neighbours' cats. I also get visited by some blackbirds each summer - they come for the free food! Several types of butterflies also come to my buddleia plant - they are so beautiful and peaceful to watch.
