    Thank you both. I did another gauge test and I am actually a little short on the sts gauge so I think going up is going to work out. I am going to try the larger needles - and I will also go up to an 8 for the ribbing. i will let you know.............. thanks

  • gauge question

    For the sweater I am going to make the gauge is 16 sts - 22 rows = 4 inches. The directions suggest # 7 for ribbing and #10 for body and the gauge is done on the larger needles. My sample is 2 rows to much so I think either 10 1/2 0r 11 will probably take care of the 2 rows. But my quesiton is should I get larger needles for the ribbing and if so what
