    I tend to see Art as something that can be done for its own sake, be it beauty emotion, etc. While Craft is an item made by hand that firstly utilitarian: i.e. baskets, clothes, furniture, blankets, etc..     often a pattern has a knit stictch at the beginning and end. so it would be multiples of 8 plus (+) 2 . This like the selvage is just a little border to make things look better and more fininshed in appearance.

    My shoulders cramp up and I get a lot of pain due to a bunch of herniated discs so I try and switch from knitting the american (?) way to continental to ease up pain sometimes. Maybe that could help? Good luck!

    I'm quite curious myself. My first use of coton was Elsbeth Lavold Patine' and it did a lot of splitting and there are many types of cotton out there that I have no idea which one to use. I have seen some that are sort of braided like rope which seems like it would hold up better, but I am pretty inexperienced in cotton. I'd love to know
